Zithromax Description

Zithromax belongs to a class of macrolide antibiotics. This drug is used to treat various bacterial infections. The principle of its action is to halt the growth of bacteria. This medicine is used to treat only bacteria but not viral infection. Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can reduce its effectiveness.

Zithromax side effects:
You may experience: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, upset stomach, diarrhea / abnormal stool, hearing loss, dark urine, persistent nausea / vomiting, severe abdominal or stomach pain, yellowing of the eyes or skin. Inform the doctor immediately in case of exacerbation of any of Zithromax side effects. Many people taking this medication do not have serious side effects.

Ask for immediate medical attention if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur: fainting, severe dizziness, fast / slow / irregular heartbeat. This medication sometimes causes severe intestinal condition that is due to resistant bacteria. This condition may occur a week after cessation of treatment. Do not use drugs to treat diarrhea or narcotic pain medications if you have these symptoms, since these products can do worse.

Tell your doctor immediately if you have: stomach or abdominal pain / cramps, persistent diarrhea, or blood and mucus in the stool. Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated term may result in new oral or vaginal infection. Contact your doctor if you notice white patches in the mouth, a change in vaginal discharge or other new symptoms. Severe allergic reactions to this drug are unlikely, but if they appear appeal urgently to the doctor. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction: swelling, dizziness, hives, itching, trouble breathing. Allergic reaction to this drug may return, even if you stop taking the medication.
