Danazol Description
Indications:
Endometriosis with concomitant infertility, benign tumors of the breast (including fibrocystic mastopathy), primary menorrhagia, premenstrual syndrome, primary premature puberty, gynecomastia. Prevention of all types (cutaneous, abdominal, laryngeal) of exacerbations in hereditary angioedema.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, porphyria (worsening of the disease is possible), breast cancer, androgen-dependent tumors, including prostate cancer, thromboembolism, genital bleeding (until its cause is clarified), acute renal and / or hepatic failure, severe heart failure, pregnancy, breast-feeding.
Restrictions:
Diabetes, epilepsy, migraine, impaired plasma hemostatic mechanisms, advanced age.
Side effects of Danazol:
- Nervous system and sensory organs: dizziness, fainting, emotional lability, nervousness, muscle spasm, headache, increased intracranial pressure, lumbodynia, paresthesia, sleep disturbances, visual disturbances.
