Celebrex Description

Indications:
As symptomatic treatment for:
- Arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis), spondylitis;
- Algodismenorrhea;
- Acute pain.
Celebrex is used in the complex treatment of patients with familial adenomatous polyposis to reduce the number and size of adenomatous colorectal polyps.

Side effects:

Frequent:
Allergic reaction (itching, rash), the phenomenon of dyspepsia, meteorism, peripheral edema, insomnia, upper air passages infections, cough, rhinitis, urinary tract infections, flu-like reaction.
Not frequent:
Anxiety, ear noise, anemia, thrombocytopenia, flushes, arterial hypertension, arrhythmias, blurred vision, tinnitus, alopecia, urticaria.
Individual:
Angioneurotic edema, chronic heart failure, ulcers in the digestive tract, the development of pancreatitis, increased activity of transaminases, formation of bullae on the skin, mental confusion.

Restrictions to usage: Allergic reactions to other NSAIDs and sulfonamides, severe damage to the liver and kidney function, heart failure, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in acute phase, pregnancy, age under 18 years and elderly age.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitive to any component of a drug or sulfonamides. Allergic reaction on application of aspirin or other NSAIDs.
Celebrex is contraindicated as an analgesic after coronary artery bypass graft surgery.

Pregnancy:
Data about the safe application of Celebrex during pregnancy is not available, so it should be applied only under strict indications, taking account of the possible risk of side effects in the fetus.
Do not apply in the last trimester of pregnancy, as the suppression of prostaglandin synthesis may disrupt the contractile activity of the uterus.

Overdose:
In case of overdose arrangements for the removal of the drug and symptomatic therapy are necessary.
