Special caution
Pregnancy and lactation
Adequate and well controlled studies of the drug on women during lactation have not been conducted. In case of application of antacid (almagel and other medications that contain aluminum or magnesium) 15 minutes before applying Allegra (Fexofenadine) a decrease of its bioavailability is observed. It is therefore recommended that the interval between applications of Allegra (Fexofenadine) and an antacid should be 2 hours.
Allegra (Fexofenadine) overdose
In case of an overdose of Allegra (Fexofenadine), the standard measures (gastric lavage) for excretion should be taken. Symptomatic and supportive therapy is recommended. Hemodialysis is not effective for removing Allegra (Fexofenadine) from the blood.
